무언의 (2017)
대화를 나누다 보면 상대방의 말보다 그의 표정과 몸짓이 그가 하고자 하는 말을 더 잘 표현할 때가 있다. 그래서 시간이 지나 그 순간을 떠올릴 때, 상대방이 사용했던 단어나 문장보다 그가 언뜻 지었던 표정, 자주 취했던 몸짓, 그의 옷 주름, 심지어 옆 테이블에 앉아있던 이름 모를 이의 모습이 먼저 떠오르곤 한다.
<무언의> 연작은 말보다 더 많은 부분을 시사하는, 비언어적인 언어에 대해 이야기하고 있다.

In conversations, gestures and facial expressions can often convey more effectively what we really want to say. Perhaps this explains why, when we recall certain situations, their gestures, facial expressions, or even the creases on their clothes—or even Don Joe, who was seated next to our table—remain in our memories more than their words.
